No domain name registration

Not providing domains and DNS is a choice. We could resell them at a premium and make it annoying for you to transfer out and take a random amount of time to send you the authcode.

We’re not that company. Think of it this way. You could get one for a third or half price at a reputable customer and domain-centric company, slap Cloudflare DNS and CDN on that bad boy and be better served. It’s equal to [cheaper + free AND better] AND it follows best IT practices. We can’t reasonably offer you a better and competitive deal at this time and we don’t pretend like we do. Keeping your domain, hosting and email in the same service is called a jackpot for any bad actor.

No Email Hosting

We all know shared hosting email is horrible. I think most WordPress users understand email is a bit more complicated than you would think, as all of us starting out have been there trying to get our contact forms to work well.

We don’t offer email hosting because it’s own category of service (which should also be away from your website) and it’s a critical component of many websites. More than your website, it contains highly sensitive and personal information, and would require a dedicated privacy-focused solution to provide the level of quality and security we aim for and that any customer deserves. Private, high-end and performant email hosting is done better by many businesses who focus on that, and it’s also something that should be aligned with your customer’s data governance rights. If you really want it, you can vote on our feedback board from your account dashboard and influence our growth.

No AI Hosting & Features

Not everything needs to be improved by AI and we feel hosting is one of these things. We offer a traditional service in a modern package. Make no mistake, we understand AI is an awesome and powerful tool that can improve our lives and help us do things that otherwise wouldn’t be possible. Even at PressyPress, we use AI to accelerate our application development.

What exactly is a Pressy?

One WordPress site in its own container, with its own memory, CPU, storage, database and bill. Run as many as you like. Change the size of the one that needs it, leave the rest alone.

Can I bring an existing WordPress site over?

Yes, and it's yours to drive. SFTP and database access from the first minute, and a staging site to land the copy on, so you check the whole thing working at its own address before it goes live.

What happens if I outgrow my plan?

Change memory, CPU or storage from the Plan screen. It applies in about a minute, and you're billed the difference for the rest of the period, shown before you confirm. Nothing else you host changes.

Do you take a backup before updates?

Before every core update. And if the update fails, it's rolled back, not left half-done. Plus one automatic backup a week kept 30 days, manual backups up to one an hour, and free restores.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on every plan, with HTTPS included and renewed. Every Pressy also gets a free pressy.site address, so it's reachable before your domain is.

What if I want to leave?

Cancel in two clicks. Billing runs to the end of the period you've paid for, and there's a 30-day money-back guarantee if you'd rather get out sooner. Your files and database are yours: take them out over SFTP, or download the whole site as one archive.
